This show was popular when I was in high school (you don’t have to do the math, I am 30 years old). And boy howdy, does this show’s soundtrack bring me back. Gavin DeGraw, Fall Out Boy, etc.
But let me get into the nitty gritty. I just re-watched this show and let me tell ya, it does NOT age well. If you have never watched or if it has been a while here is a lil taste as to why it didn’t age well: So Peyton, 17 year old girl at OTH high school in the show, has a fling with Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy, who was 26 years old in the show. UM WHAT?? ‘SCUSE ME??
Who wrote this show? Who approved this? Why did Pete agree to this?? It is SO CRINGE when Pete asks Peyton to come to his show in Chicago and Peyton has to be like, “um, yeah, no. My dad wont let me. But you can come here.” ALKDG;AIkajnaiOIHKAJB;ig;. No. No. No. No. No.
In my world, a 26 year old attracted to a 17 year old needs to see a therapist. Because no. Just no.
Ok. End rant on that one.
When I watched this show the first time around, I was head over heels for Chad Michael Murray but watching it a second time, Nathan is WAY more attractive to me! LMK if you have thoughts on this show. Does this collection drum up some nostalgia for you?
Side note about my mood board, I know Brooke doesn’t end up with Owen, she ends up with the movie producer dude but I liked Owen better because he is hotter. And cooler. And is played by Joe Manganiello.
